The challenge
Where things stood
Foyr Neo's intuitive 3D design was winning over creatives and property developers. But as the user base grew, a critical limitation emerged: there was no way to properly export floor-plan drawings from a 3D design.
Users resorted to screenshots, which distorted when printed at large formats like A1 or A2. With competitors already offering robust export features, Foyr risked losing ground in a highly competitive market and needed a solution fast.
Our solution
What we built
We built a sophisticated floor-plan export tool on FabricJS, a web canvas library. The core objective: ensure a user's drawing on an HTML canvas could be accurately represented and printed in real-world metrics, such as a 1:25 scale ratio.
- Seamless integration with Foyr's existing 3D canvas system.
- Accurate translation of 3D designs into scaled 2D output.
- Annotation and labelling tools built to Foyr's requirements.
- Support for multiple scale ratios for true real-world representation.

Engagement
